CLEARING 2008
Are your grades below your offers or expectations?
Don’t be a victim of the hysteria stirred up by the media!
Every year a number of students just miss their grades. By lunchtime on Results Day, the majority have discovered their Firm or Insurance University has accepted them. For those who have to look elsewhere, everything is sorted within a few days, but UCAS now stands for 'Use Caution And Sense'. Take a deep breath and step back. Never stop believing in yourself. I suspect, if looked at nationally, you hold pretty good results. Remind yourself of how much you have achieved over the last 7 years of Secondary education. Ring, email or go and see your school, college or Connexions advisers. Talk to your best friend or your family. They will start to rebuild your confidence. You can still achieve many of your goals. You can still add to previous achievements. Click here if you are ready to tackle clearing. If your results are better than expected, Clearing will be significant to you but it is advisable to ask for advice if you are now considering asking your Universities to release you from your Firm or Insurance Uni! ****************
